of high quality performance. The Referral Bonus Program rewards employees
for successfully recruiting quality employees to Mercy Medical Center.
Eligibility
Participation in the program is open to all employees of Mercy
Medical Center and Mercy’s subsidiaries except individuals
in the Human Resources Department and Executive Staff.
Payment Criteria
The bonus will be paid to those eligible employees when all of
the following conditions are met:- The applicant being referred has at least one (1) year of recent
experience within the last five (5) years in the area for which
there is an opening and/or specialized experience as specified on
the vacancy list.
- The applicant possesses all other qualifications stated in the job
description.
- The applicant completes an application with the referring employee’s
name identified on the application.
- The applicant successfully passes the employment process, which
includes the reference check, criminal background check and employment
physical; and has started working for Mercy Medical Center.
General Conditions
Applicants referred through the Referral Bonus program will go
through the same selection and evaluation procedure as candidates
referred through any other process.
Mercy Medical Center has a policy on Employment of Relatives: relatives
hired may not work together in the same cost center or worksite.
This policy will continue to be in effect.
Bonus Payment Procedures
Eligible employees will be paid when the referred employee successfully
completes a 6-month introductory period.
The amount of the bonus payment will depend on the FTE the referred
employee is hired to fill:
1.0 - .8 = $600.00
.7 - .4 = $350.00
.3 - .1 = $200.00
As required by law, all applicable taxes will be deducted from
the bonus payout. The bonus check will be granted to the Department
Head along with a congratulatory letter. The Department Head is
responsible for presentation and celebration of the employee’s
success.
